In early childhood classrooms, children are just beginning to learn patterns of social acceptance and rejection. As a teacher of young children, how can you assist a child who is the victim of bullying? This workshop will address the definition of a bully, how to recognize the characteristics of a bully, and how to handle a “bully” situation in the classroom. We will discuss lesson plan topics to aid in a bully situation and explore children’s literature that demonstrates specific bullying situations.
