DESCRIPTION:Format: In-Person\nPresenter: Natalie Williams\nCost: $30 \nDescription: Participants will become certified in Red Cross approved basic adult\, child\, and infant CPR and First Aid. The primary purpose of this training is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac\, breathing\, and first aid emergencies. The training is designed to teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and decide whether advanced medical care is needed. \nAll in-person trainings will be limited to 8 participants to allow for social distancing. If a waiting list is created\, a duplicate training date will be set. \nThis training meets the criteria of a Health and Safety Training Topic. Child Care Rules require health and safety trainings to be completed once every 5 years. Smart Start of Yadkin County offered the initial Health and Safety Trainings back in 2017. We are starting a new rotation so that all 11 trainings will be offered again within the 5-year time frame. DESCRIPTION:Required Hands on training that explains first response techniques. \nFace to Face training \nCost: \n$30: Davie County Providers \n$40: Out of County Providers \nCPR Trainings will be held at Davie Community Park \, 151 Southwood Drive\, Mocksville NC \nPre-registration is required. Email Katie Speer  kspeer@daviesmartstart.org \nAdmittance is not allowed after the first 15 minutes of class. \nCertificates will be awarded at the end of class with a completed evaluation. \nChildren are not allowed in the training area & must be accompanied by an adult in the lobby at all times. \nKindness and respect for one another and the presenter are expected. \nPlease be courteous and turn off your cell phone during the training. If you must take a phone call\, please leave the training area. \n  \nSmart Start of Davie County will continue to provide free training for teachers who serve children birth to five in Davie County\, unless otherwise noted below*. Please note\, there is a $10 fee for teachers who serve children outside of Davie County ($40 for CPR +First Aid). \nIf you must cancel\, please remove yourself from the training sign up and contact Katie Speer at 336.751.2113 or kspeer@daviesmartstart.org at least 3 business days prior to the meeting. A $10 no-show fee will be charged to those that sign up for a class but do not attend. This fee must be paid before signing up for any other class through Smart Start of Davie County.
