SUMMARY:CCRC- Emergency Preparedness & Response in Child Care
DESCRIPTION:The new Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) in Child Care Training provides early educators with information and tools to prepare for many types of emergencies. The EPR in Child Care Training addresses new NC Child Care Rules on emergency preparedness\, current best practice recommendations\, and guidance on completing the online EPR Plan. The EPR Plan template can be found on the North Carolina Emergency Management website.\nNC Child Care Rules 10A NCAC 09 .0607(b) and 10A NCAC 09 .1705(b)(6) require that a designated individual from all licensed centers and family child care homes complete the training and submit a and submit a facility EPR Plan. \nPresenter: Laura Brown \n2.5 Credit Hours \nCost: $15.00 \nDate/Time: 7/14/2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM \nRegistration deadline: 7/10/2026 12:00 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada) \nRegistration Link: \nBe prepared! Knowing what to do before\, during and after an emergency is a critical part of being prepared and may make all the difference when seconds count. \nLimited seating available!!! \nPlease note: Participating in training while in the classroom may be violation of childcare licensing rules. We encourage all participants to arrange to be relieved from child staff ratio to be fully present in the training. Active participation during the live event is required to receive DCDEE credit for this class. \nALL Participates Must Have Camera On During the training. \nNo refunds unless class is canceled by CCRC. \nThis event is designed to be an interactive experience and requires full participation including dialogue response and virtual tools during the slide presentation. Participants should choose electronic devices that allow them to see\, hear and participate in the full event. Smart phone and tablet apps may be limited in their functionality and compatibility with this learning platform.
