The Family, Friend & Neighbor Child Care Alliance connects caregivers and families with support, learning opportunities and community resources.
What Is Family, Friend & Neighbor Child Care?
Family, Friend & Neighbor child care is provided by someone a family already knows and trusts. Caregivers may include grandparents, relatives, family friends or neighbors who regularly care for children.
This care may take place during the day, before or after school, in the evenings, overnight or on weekends.
About the FFN Child Care Alliance
The Family, Friend & Neighbor Child Care Alliance brings Child Care Resource Center and Imprints Cares together to strengthen support for FFN caregivers and the families who rely on them.
Through the Alliance, caregivers can connect with learning opportunities, child-development resources, community support and advocacy.
The Alliance is supported by the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust.
How the Partner Organizations Help
Child Care Resource Center
Child Care Resource Center supports advocacy for Family, Friend & Neighbor caregivers and connects families and caregivers with community information and resources. CCRC also offers free classes that caregivers can attend with the children in their care.
Imprints Cares
Imprints Cares provides direct, in-home support to participating FFN caregivers. This may include visits from trained educators, developmental screenings, child-development resources and caregiver learning opportunities.
Free Classes for FFN Caregivers and Children
Child Care Resource Center offers free classes where Family, Friend & Neighbor caregivers can learn, play and spend uninterrupted time with the children in their care.
Kindermusik with Mrs. Elena
Free bilingual music and movement classes for children from birth to age five. Caregivers attend with the children in their care for shared learning, music and uninterrupted time together.
Play & Learn with Miss NaTashia
Free music, crafts, movement and play activities for children from birth to age five. The sessions support early learning and brain development while giving caregivers and children time to participate together.
