Smart Start of Yadkin County – Overview of the North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development

This training will provide participants an overview of Foundations. Together we will learn how to navigate through the document and familiarize ourselves with the Goals and Developmental Indicators that are divided up into 5 separate domains. We will explore each domain and see how it can be incorporated into daily activity planning. The 5 domains are as follows:

1. Approaches to Play and Learning (APL)
2. Emotional and Social Development (ESD)
3. Health and Physical Development (HPD)
4. Language Development and Communication (LDC)
5. Cognitive Development

*Each participant will receive a hard copy of the Foundations document.

*All trainings will run from 6:30pm – 8:30pm unless otherwise noted. A $5.00 registration fee is required for all trainings, with the exception of CPR/First Aid, which will be $30. Cash or checks are accepted methods of payment. Checks are to be made payable to Smart Start of Yadkin County.
