Biting is a problem often seen in many groups of young children. These situations are stressful to teachers, administrators, parents and children. Why do children bite? How can children be helped to understand and learn pro-social interactions? What is the proper way to handle a biting incident? In addition to getting answers to these questions, you will learn how to create and implement a biting policy; how to properly document a biting event; biting prevention steps; and how to successfully communicate this delicate issue to parents.
