ONLINE- How to be a STEM Hero: Strategies for Developing Powerful STEM Activities in Afterschool

Calling all STEM Superheroes! Does the thought of creating high quality STEM activities overwhelm you? Do you wish you had STEM superpowers? The goal of this learning event is to introduce afterschool providers to practical strategies for developing powerful STEM programs.

Participants will define STEM in their own words and describe STEM barriers. Participants will also create high quality STEM activities while incorporating those activities with SACERS U. Are you ready for a SUPER STEM Challenge?

Course requirements to earn the CEU certificate include attending online sessions, reading handouts, video vignettes, interactive online activities, and passing a post knowledge assessment with a score of 90% or higher (multiple attempts allowed).

Technology needs required:
•Computer/electronic device with internet connection
•Computer/electronic device with audio/ability to watch & listen to a video online
•Keyboard/mouse (laptop with mouse pad)
•Electronic device with speakers (audio)

Participants in the online event will be required to complete 2 hours of pre/post work assignments and participate in 3 hours of online coursework.
