Smart Start of Davidson County — Language Development and Communication in Infants/Toddlers: What Are They Talking About?

It starts with crying, cooing, and babbling, and then you hear it, their first words! Sharing those language milestones moments can be some of our best experiences as infant/toddler teachers. During this workshop you will learn more about the development of language and communication for children birth-three; the research that links relationships to language learning in the first three years; and strategies to support this development. We will also discuss and share ideas about the importance of talking to, singing with, and reading to infants to foster a life time love of language and learning.

Cost: $5.00 (pay the night of training; please bring correct amount)

Instructions: If paying with cash please bring the exact amount to the SSDC office. Checks should be written to SSDC. If a training states “pay the trainer” you still need to send in the registration form and pay trainer night of class. If your money is received after a workshop is full or if a workshop is cancelled you will be informed by phone; the rescheduled date will be given to you or you may choose another workshop. Smart Start of Davidson County is not responsible for registration forms or fees lost in the mail or not delivered on time. Please remember your workshop location and time. If you register and do not attend no refund or credit will be given. You will not be able to switch classes.
