Gardening at the Center Exceptional Children

Nature provides endless learning opportunities for our children. This workshop provided early education professionals with the tools they need to confidently present lessons in Math, Botany and the Environment to the young learner in a way that is fun and engaging. They were taught how to bring important social skills such as sharing, waiting and gentleness into the learning environment. The class was taught by JoAnn Yates who works as the Horticultural Therapist for The Centers for Exceptional Children. She has over 15 years’ experience with sharing the wonder of nature with children.
