Smart Start of Yadkin County — Overview of the North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development

This training will provide participants an overview of Foundations. Together you will learn how to navigate through the document and familiarize yourself with the Goals and Developmental Indicators that are divided up into 5 separate domains. We will explore each domain and see how it can be incorporated into daily activity planning. The 5 domains are as follows: Approaches to Play and Learning (APL), Emotional and Social Development (ESD), Health and Physical Development (HPD), Language Development and Communication (LDC), and Cognitive Development (CD).

*Each facility will receive a hard copy of the Foundations document.

*All trainings will run from approximately 6:30-8:30pm unless otherwise noted. A non-refundable $5 registration fee is required for all trainings, except for CPR/First Aid, which will be $30. In addition to the $5 registration fee, participants are to complete a Training Registration Form. Forms are available at our office or on our website www.yadkinchild.org, under the “Calendar” tab.
