Professional Development Training
Child Care Resource Center has provided professional development for over 25 years. Our goal is to improve the quality of child care by offering high quality professional development opportunities for child care educators. Child Care Resource Center provides access to trainings throughout our region which includes Alleghany, Ashe, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin Counties.

Smart Start of Yadkin County – Be Active Kids

The objectives of this training include: to learn how children are doing with respect to physical activity and healthy eating, to learn the current and most important recommendations for healthy eating and physical activity for children, to identify components for the Be Active Kids kit, to learn how to use Be Active Kids in an early childhood setting, to learn how to become a healthy role model for the children you teach, and learn how to involve parents in Be Active Kids.
*Each facility will receive a Be Active Kids kit.*
*Participants must register at least 10 days in advance, so enough materials will be available.*

*All trainings will run from approximately 6:30-8:30pm unless otherwise noted. A non-refundable $5 registration fee is required for all trainings, except for CPR/First Aid, which will be $30. In addition to the $5 registration fee, participants are to complete a Training Registration Form. Forms are available at our office or on our website www.yadkinchild.org, under the “Calendar” tab.
