Professional Development Training
Child Care Resource Center has provided professional development for over 25 years. Our goal is to improve the quality of child care by offering high quality professional development opportunities for child care educators. Child Care Resource Center provides access to trainings throughout our region which includes Alleghany, Ashe, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin Counties.

Smart Start of Yadkin County – CPR/First Aid

Participants will become certified in Red Cross approved, basic adult, child, and infant CPR and First Aid. The primary purpose of this program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. This course is designed to teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and decide whether advanced medical care is needed.

All trainings will run from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. A $5.00 registration fee is required for all trainings, with the exception of CPR/First Aid, which will be $30. Cash or checks are accepted methods of payment. Checks are to be made payable to Smart Start of Yadkin County. In addition to the $5.00 registration fee, participants are to complete a Training Registration Form. Forms are available at our office or our website: www.yadkinchild.org, under the “Calendar” tab.
